About

Hello! This website of my ramblings and reviews is my attempt to give a little something something back to the internet ether and keep myself occupied at the same time. A little about myself: I’m a 30-something professional who works full time in the medical field, is currently going to school part time for my masters and somehow finds sufficient time to try several new workout regimens, props, accessories, et cetera each year. How is this so, you ask? Basically I’m very lazy in my personal life but with random spurts of grand ambitions. Match that with being easily influenced by online advertising- I tend to buy random workout programs, start various app challenges and sign up for races that my body is apparently not primed to complete and then crawl back to my slothful ways for a couple of weeks when my interest fades.

First of all- I like to call myself a runner. I’m a super slow, back-of-the-pack runner but I move in some capacity towards certified race finish lines…so that counts right? To date I have completed countless 5Ks, two 10Ks, and five half marathons (with a 6th unofficial half when the official one was cancelled and a 7th half-half [so a 10k?] when one was cut short due to lightening). My times are not competitive or even all that good- but I do finish before getting swept. I have tried various running programs to self-improve and have also done the whole ‘I-don’t-need-to-train-at-all’ attempts. I also love to use races as an excuse to travel a couple of times per year.

Second of all, I like pretty, shiny things. This includes the latest and greatest work-out DVDs, equipment, sneakers, accessories, apps, supplements, clothing, et cetera. I often look for and depend on feedback from individual blogs and reviews to determine my purchases. Therefore, I wanted to give back with some reviews of my own to maybe help similar people out there having sudden enthusiastic athletic shopping sprees.

So thanks, mom, for reading this- maybe one or two others can benefit from some rambling reviews. Otherwise maybe the time writing reviews will keep me from registering for that next ungodly expensive runDisney race…probably not though! 🙂
